Okay...so im a 17 year old girl and ive had a myspace since november. and i absolutely love it! i re-connected with friends i havent seen since elementary and middle school and ppl that lived in my old neighborhood. i think its alot

but recently there have been all sorts of news reports saying that soo many girls have been stalked/rapped/harrassed/killed by guys they met on myspace.

and i dont believe this mess b/c u dont have 2 talk 2 ppl online if u dont want to. just block them! and even if u do meet some1 on myspace...why would u give them ur address???

so is it myspace that is dangerous? or are these kids not being careful? or is it just flat out stupidity?

it can be if you are stupid...but i am sick of everything being blamed on MySpace...someone gets stalked and killed...it must be MySpace...it may very well be, but MySpace is a good site and i have found a lot of my old buds on there. i love it. i just think parents should be aware of what their kids do on there and who they are talking to. there are a lot of sick pervs out there, MySpace or no MySpace.

The website www.myspace.com is not dangerous. It is the people who use the service who are irresponsible for their own actions. Just because alot of reports have been coming through the media about MYSPACE, does not make this a dangerous website. Parents need to be more cautious of what their children are doing online, and I think schools should offer an internet safety course.

I think that Myspace is dangerous, and unfortunately kids are not being careful. They put way too much information to identify them to strangers (state, town, school, PHOTOS). If someone dangerous wanted to find them, unfortunately they could because of all of the information on the profiles.

Personally, i think mysapce is very safe. Its nice too, ive reconnected with alot of friends since ive got mine also. The thing is, stupid people out there make it abd for everyone else because they trust too many people they dont know and give away personal information. As long as your smart about it, myspace is totally safe.

Public Chatting Is Not Safe For Teens For The Fact That They Are Ignorant About The Consequences That Follows Irrational Actions. You Can Act Like Adults All You Want, It Still Won't Make You One.
