If you are in school, you cannot go there. They are blocked by your sys. admin. If you need to check email and your yahoo mail is blocked, you can go to british yahoo site (mail.yahoo.co.uk) and then you will get access.

The same should work for other sites which have suport in multiple countries. So if your sites are popular, try to imput URL with british or any other country extension. It should go around the blockage and you will see stuff.

Quit trying to access sites you can't go to when you know you should be doing schoolwork instead. If you put as much effort into studying as you do trying to bypass blocked sites, you'd be a straight A student I bet!

the server keeps logs of everything you do on the net. don't try to get around it. you'll only get your computer priveledges taken away. the blocks are there to protect you from yourself and others. be smart and do it their way.

proxys. if your school uses a system like BESS, you can get around it with proxy servers. go to "tools," "internet options" in explorer. click the "connections" tab and click the "LAN Settings" button at the bottom. then open a new browser window and go to "arul.telenet-systems.com/proxy.php" this site will list a whole bunch of proxys. one should work for ya. copy the proxy ip(00.000.000.00 ect.) and get the port number (note: dont use port 80, it just doesnt seem to work, try 8080 or some of the others.) go back to the LAN settings window and check the box for "use a proxy server to connect to your LAN." then put the proxy from the list into the first box, and the port number into the second. click ok and give it a try. if it doesnt work, repeat with a different proxy/port. keep trying till one works.
