Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

NO.

Schools are blocking it because of all the media, "girl's death cause of myspace predator" %26amp; " girls meets man on myspace, raped, killed, body found 5 miles from home".

And they don't want kids spending their free time on it, not to mention if they forget to log out, another kid can get in it.

Parents: QUIT BLAMING MYSPACE for your kid being

a hooker, she was a wh0ore before

Myspace, and she'd be a wh0ore without it!

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

Schools YES.

Parents NO.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

sure.. until you are of age parents should control every aspect of their kids lives.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

No. In school you are there to learn what is on the curriculum. Myspace is not on there. Plus, they are trying to protect you from the weirdos who go on Myspace and say they are only 14 when in fact they are over 40 and possibly child molesters.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

A 9 yo girl just asked how to create an account on myspace.... I told her there will be 50 yo men pretending to be teenagers

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

you should probably listen to Mojo in the morning "Myspace scare straight" :D

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

In school you should be working, not wasting time, and schools bandwidth on myspace.

At home, I think it shouldn't be blocked, but some parents will disagree.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

Ann darling yes. To protect children from predators. Honey I know you think you been badly treated but honey you are wrong. When you grow up and have your own children would you not be protecting them? If your answer is yes then Ann what is your parents are doing for you is to protect you honey. so darling be thankful and learn to respect your parents.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

Parents? Maybe. Considering the risks involved, and depending upon how poorly raised/ignorant their children are, and how little control over them they have. That problem could all be solved by having some decent parenting skills, though. Censorship, in any form, is usually the lazy option. We don't want to teach our kids about this, so we'll just keep them from ever encountering it.

Schools? Hey, last time I checked, a classroom wasn't the place for your personal life. Maybe use the equipment for its intended purposes. I don't even think it's all that unreasonable for them to block the site. It's certainly not unfair. It's their equipment, not yours.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

Yes. a few years ago kids had none of that, a few years ago there was less violence at school.

What the hell is ur problem? 2 young girls died in Melbourne Australia because poeple on myspace gave them intructions on how to commit suicide.

Fo all that support myspace ur a bunch of @ssholes!

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

yes...schools are responsible to educate children not allow them to surf the net and do whatever they darn well please...

yes...parents are responsible for their children and the first ones blamed when children come up missing because they met a pedophile on myspace are the parents...

myspace is just a blog area...not a right for children...when people are responsible for the day to day care of kids they need to take it seriously and allowing access to everything is not responsible.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

YES

you go to school to learn... not to use those online crap

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

My college doesn't block it, but regardless of, I think it's good schools are now beginning to block Myspace and other social-networking sites. You're there to learn, and whenever you get bored in a computer class, just play Solitaire or something. Parents' reason is they don't want their kids exposed to stalkers and such. It all matters on how responsible and mature the child is to have a Myspace. At least at home anyway.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

I think its good you can't use it at school or else there would be no computers for people who needed them for assignments during lunch and stuff.

but parents are being silly (lol). its not myspace's fault your child is a whore who is just BEGGING for some perv to try and get them. personally ive never talked to anyone really weird or creepy on there, and i talk to loads of people i don't know.

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

No!!!!!!! If they get to take away myspace then we should be able to take away Frazier or CNN

Do you really think it's fair that parents and schools block myspace?

I think it's suitable to be blocked at school I mean your really there to do schoolwork right? If it was allowed when I was at school I never would have done anything. As for home I think parents have every right to block it, if your under 18 your in there home and still under there grounds. Then if your over 18 I think you should be allowed seeing as tho 18 is an adult, but if you have strict parents I doubt they'll budge on anything and plus all the under 18's that post on myspace make themselves out to look like a tart, I personally don't think that anyone under 18 should be on myspace. Grow up before you go on there
